Simone Biles Shares Sweet Kiss With Jonathan Owens at Bears Game
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens looked all loved up at his latest game!
The Chicago Bears may not have won against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, December 16, but Owens, 29, got one heck of a consolation prize: a sweet kiss from his Olympic gymnast wife.
A clip shared via social media by ESPN and SportsCenter from Monday’s game at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis shows Biles, 27, join her husband on the field for a sweet embrace. “I love you,” she can be heard telling Owens.
The seven-time Olympic gold medal winner looked stylish for the game, sporting an all-black ensemble, including thigh-high black boots, a fur coat and a fur hat.
Earlier in the day, Biles also shared clips via her Instagram Stories of her sharing a pregame cocktail with Torrie Brown, who is married to the team’s tight end Marcedes Lewis.
Biles and her man — who wed in April 2023 — previously packed on the PDA when she attended the Bears’ away game against the San Francisco 49ers on December 8. Ahead of the matchup, Owens met up with Biles on the sidelines, where they each wrapped their arms around one another’s waists and embraced.
The Olympic gymnast and Bears safety have been dating together since 2020, first meeting and matching via dating app Raya. At the time, Owens had no clue just how famous Biles was.
“[I] had been on the [dating app Raya] for a couple days and then she pops up. I’m like, ‘Lemme see who this is,’” Owens recalled during a December 2023 appearance on “The Pivot” podcast. “I never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity [and I was like], ‘I’ll see what’s up.’”
Owens was playing for the Houston Texans at the time, near Biles’ training facility.
Over the summer, Biles became the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history during the 2024 Paris Olympics, taking home three gold and a silver, bringing her total number of medals to 11. She went into the Olympics with seven medals, tying Shannon Miller, who competed in the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games.
After winning gold in the women’s vault event in August, Biles didn’t rule out potentially competing again at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
“Is this my last? Definitely [my final] Yurchenko double pike,” Biles quipped during an August 3 press conference. “I mean, I kinda nailed that one. … The next Olympics is at home [in Los Angeles]. So, you just never know. But I am getting really old.”
